Classroom Feed
How to set up Google Classroom notifications
GottView can display your child's Google Classroom activity β new assignments, due dates, and teacher comments β directly on the dashboard. To enable this, the student's school Gmail account needs to forward a copy of incoming emails to homework@gottview.com. GottView never stores login credentials for the student's account; it only reads the forwarded messages.
- Log into the student's school Gmail account (e.g. jsmith@pleasantonusd.net).
-
Open Gmail Settings β Forwarding and POP/IMAP, or click the direct link:
mail.google.com β Settings β Forwarding - Click Add a forwarding address and enter homework@gottview.com.
- Google will send a confirmation code to that address β GottView receives it automatically within a minute. Refresh this page and the feed will start populating.
