Overview

GottView is a web application that helps parents monitor their children's academic progress using data from school portals (ParentVUE / Edupoint). By registering, you agree to this policy.

Information We Collect

• Student grade data — pulled from your school district's ParentVUE portal using the credentials you provide. Includes assignment names, scores, and teacher comments.
• Email address — used for account identity and to send grade notifications. No marketing or third-party use.
• ParentVUE credentials — your district login username and password, stored encrypted at rest and used solely to fetch grade data on your behalf.
• Phone numbers — used solely to deliver SMS grade notifications to recipients you configure. Numbers are stored with your consent.
• Google Classroom emails — optionally forwarded by students to a monitored mailbox to surface assignment comments and reminders inside the app.

How We Use Information

All data collected is used exclusively to operate the GottView dashboard and send notifications you configure. No data is sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.

Data Storage

Grade data and configuration are stored in a database on a private cloud server. Access is protected by account authentication and HTTPS.

Data Retention

Data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request account deletion by contacting us at the address below.

Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting support at admin@gottview.com.

Security

ParentVUE credentials are encrypted at rest using Fernet symmetric encryption. The application is accessible only via HTTPS.
